Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)
We understand our role in creating sustainable places to do business and seek to optimise the future proofing of our buildings by complying with minimum energy efficiency standards with each of our workspaces achieving an EPC Rating of A or A+. We aim to achieve an exemplary standard of Environmental, Social and Governance strategic success through carefully monitoring and managing our specification, build processes and design functions. The impacts of our agile thinking throughout the development process are easily recognised in our class leading developments and our strategies show tangible value across the three pillars.
Environmental
- Certification – We pursue globally recognised ratings such as BREEAM and EPC’s to validate our buildings’ sustainability.
- Carbon Reduction – Each of our developments is delivered to a net zero carbon ready state and we utilise on site renewable energy systems such as roof mounted solar PV to significantly reduce operational energy costs.
- Materials and Resource Management – We focus on the use of sustainable materials in our specification and operate demanding waste reduction and water conservation plans and strategies during the construction phase.
- Health and wellbeing – Our workspaces are designed to maximise internal natural lighting and incorporate advanced ventilation systems to ensure the comfort of your workforce. Externally, we seek to optimise biodiversity and create plentiful green spaces.
- Community Support and Impact – We like a challenging development site, and often our projects actively regenerate brownfield sites, resolving problematic sites within communities and create publicly accessible spaces. We create excellent and long-lasting links to local Community Groups and have been known to gift land to locally representative groups for such uses as sensory gardens and community play spaces.

- Transparency and Ethics – Our supply chain and contractor partners are expected to operate in full compliance with our demanding ‘onboarding’ procedures, ensuring they operate fully auditable and transparent supply chains. At all times, we expect employees to be treated with respect within equitable employment practices, with full training of all personnel to minimise risks and possible harm.
Being socially responsible is important to us. We aim to create value that goes beyond the buildings themselves. We operate like this every day by getting involved early, listening to local voices, looking for ways our developments can bring real benefits, and creating spaces people can feel proud of.
